I would like to start off my blog post by thanking all of my supporters. This is only my second blog post and I have been receiving countless subscription notifications. Whether I have a personal connection to you or not, I want to thank you all for devoting your time into reading and staying up-to-date with my blog.

Now, onto the fun part... THE BLOGGING!

As you all probably know, I have recently presented my pitch, which was fantastic.

(Link to my blog post about my pitch: http://savingpaper.wixsite.com/website/single-post/2016/10/21/Starting-%E2%9A%BE%EF%B8%8F-Pitcher-%F0%9F%92%BB-%E2%9D%8C%F0%9F%93%84).

I am now in the period of time between my pitch and my actual TedTalk presentation. During this time, I have been working very hard in terms of perfecting my presentation and modifying it to fit all of the limitations. This process is all so much fun and I cannot wait to present my gathered knowledge to my fellow classmates, my teacher, and to you guys; my blog readers.

Now... I have realized in my recent research that a big part of going paperless in a classroom is being able to hand out and submit work via the Internet. Some people would think that the obvious solution is email, but it gets very hard to keep track of constant work emails. Many schools, including mine, use online programs that the students, teachers and parents have access to, which allows you to distribute work, as well as check your marks, view upcoming events and deadlines, and much more. I believe that these sites are very beneficial to all schools and they most definitely keep you very organized with your studies/work.

My school uses a program called Managebac (http://managebac.com/) and it is an amazing program that I truly enjoy using. It is available to all middle schools students, teachers and parents to use and explore. After using it for just over two years, I have really become familiar with the software and learned a lot about it.

Another site similar to Managebac that our school uses is called Edsby (http://www.edsby.com/). Edsby is only available to the parents and teachers at our school, however other schools use it for students as well. I do not know much about how our school uses Edsby because I do not have an account, nor am I familiar with the program, but I know that it is an easy and effective software tool that is really popular with schools in my area. I know that my school uses it to digitally send the attendance to the office and it works very well and runs very smoothly. The format of Edsby is quite similar to the format of FaceBook and other social media platforms, so if that layout interests you, you would probably enjoy using Edsby.

Finally, the last program that I will be sharing with you today is called Showbie (https://www.showbie.com/). I have very limited knowledge of Showbie because I do not know anyone who uses it, and truthfully, I have never used the program myself. For my TedTalk presentation, I found a Showbie video on YouTube that I will include because it is a great example of a software that lets children learn digitally. (I will include the link to the video in my next blog post). Considering that this video is under two minutes, it still provides us with an immense amount of tools that are needed to use Showbie and it seems like a really simple and affective application that many schools would benefit from using.

In conclusion, I have found many different websites that let students, teachers and parents stay organized with marks and work in school, and I believe that they are a big step forward into making schools paperless, which is the ultimate goal of this blog.
